West Jordan Ranked a Top City—Plus Fireworks Rules, Stampede News & More!

June 2025 Mayor's Message

We’re saddling up for something big! West Jordan’s Western Stampede is turning 70 this year, and it’s going to be a celebration that will rope us in!

For seven decades, this event has brought our community together to celebrate Independence Day the West Jordan way, full of rodeo action, carnival fun, food that’ll make you holler “yeehaw,” and fireworks and drones that light up more than just the sky, they light up our sense of hometown pride!

Right now, our teams are working to get everything ready for July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. From hanging banners to rounding up vendors, we’re pulling out all the stops to make this year’s Stampede one for the history books. It’s a tradition that’s stood the test of time, and it’s still kicking.

So dust off your boots, mark your calendars, and get ready to rodeo. We’ll see y’all at the 70th Western Stampede! Visit westernstampede.com to buy your tickets!

Sincerely,

Mayor Dirk Burton
